Feed barriersThe feed barriers of Brouwers Equipment have one thing in common: they are all built strong and solid. You can choose between different models, from a simple diagonal bar feed barrier to the unique intelligent electronic E-locks® feed barrier.
 E-Locks® The system consists of a certain amount of feed openings, each provided with an individual electrical actuator for the bolt slide, with which the different functions of the feed barrier can be set. - Mastitis prevention: this function will take care that cows, which are eating at the feed barrier after leaving the milking parlour, will be held for a preset time. This will keep each individual cow standing for an equal amount of time, independent of the time of locking-in, thus giving the udders time to dry and close under hygienic circumstances.
- Anti-gorge function: with this function you can "stack" the cows at the feed barrier. The first feed opening, where the cows have to start eating, will be left open by the system. Only after the first cow leaves the milking parlour and closes the catch bar with its head, the next feed opening will be unlocked. As a result of this function each cow has less opportunity to select the tasty bites from the adjacent forage.
- Separating cows: from the catch position you can order certain feed openings to hold the cows you want.
- Centrally in catching position: you can choose to set all feed openings, a group of feed openings, or a single feed opening.
- Unlocking groups of feed openings: you can unlock each group of feed openings at a set time. With this function you can prepare energetic forage at the feed barrier and automatically admit cows after they have had their portion of high protein grass.
